Omar Abuharthieh DPT, PT

Dr. Omar Abuharthieh is an emerging physical therapist dedicated to delivering compassionate, evidence-based care that empowers patients to regain mobility and improve their quality of life. He graduated with his Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University, Omar brings a strong academic foundation paired with diverse hands-on clinical experience across inpatient, outpatient, and hospital-based rehabilitation settings.
Throughout his clinical rotations—including time at Lenox Hill Hospital, Spear Physical Therapy, and Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation—Omar has developed and implemented individualized treatment plans for a wide range of orthopedic, neurological, and post-surgical conditions. His approach emphasizes patient education, functional movement training, and collaborative care to ensure lasting recovery and injury prevention.
In addition to his clinical training, Omar was involved in research at SUNY Downstate, studying the effectiveness of neural mobilization techniques for managing cubital tunnel syndrome. His research reflects a deep commitment to advancing the science of rehabilitation and integrating the latest evidence into clinical practice.
With strong skills in patient assessment, therapeutic modalities, and interdisciplinary collaboration, Omar is excited to contribute meaningfully to the Speech Therapy Plus healthcare team.
